The Laakso Joint Hospital’s construction sites have expanded over the winter and will become more active in the spring. Construction is now underway in the entire Laakso Hospital area. Open-cut excavators are busy in the southern sections. The people responsible for building the foundations of the main building have moved to the centre of the plot. In the northern part of the hospital area, installation work has begun on the frame of the northern part of the main building. This structure will become visible from outside the construction site.

Under the Laakso Hospital area, excavators in the bedrock tunnel will continue to build caverns for the car park and maintenance facilities. Excavation of the Meilahti–Laakso tunnel will continue underground, and the work will gradually progress towards Meilahti.

We will hold an open evening for local residents and entrepreneurs from 6 pm to 7 pm on 27 February.

Come on site or participate remotely

The event will be held at the Laakso Joint Hospital project office (Piha big room) at Lääkärinkatu 8. The map shows the exact location.
